White Square Vintage Vase from the Ingridhütte, Kurt Wokan (1956–1982)
This elegant, white square vase is made of high-quality bark glass and is a typical example of the clear, functional design language of the mid-20th century. The geometric shape combined with the textured surface creates subtle optical effects and gives the vase a clear reference to the Op-Art movement of the 1960s.
As an authentic object of the Mid-Century Modern era, it embodies timeless modernity and is also a significant piece of German design and glass history. Functional, decorative, and exceptionally elegant – a highlight for collectors and lovers of high-quality vintage glass art.
Ingrid Glassworks – History
After the closure of the Jola glassworks in Euskirchen in 1956, the Sudeten German glass designer Kurt Wokan took over the production facility. Together with his wife Ingrid Henlein, he continued to run the company under the name "Ingridhütte" until 1982. Under Wokan's leadership, high-quality glass objects were created that combined modern design with traditional craftsmanship.
