Perfume bottle and powder compact - Bohemia 1930s
This Bohemian crystal toilet set dates from around 1930 and consists of a perfume bottle and a powder box. The clear, faceted glass forms are decorated with black enamel painting, a typical feature of North Bohemian glassworks.
The geometric lines and surfaces clearly show the influence of Art Deco and are reminiscent of designs in the style of Karel Palda. The bottle has a faceted stopper, while the powder box has a flat lid – characteristic of toilet and cosmetic sets of the period.
A decorative example of historical Bohemian glass design and an attractive object for collectors and lovers of elegant Art Deco pieces.
