Otmar Alt (*1940 Wernigerode)
Otmar Alt is a German painter, graphic artist, designer and sculptor. Alt cannot be assigned to any genre or art movement. Alt's colorful pictures seem mostly cheerful and playful. It is characteristic of his style that his works consist of color fields composed of puzzles with precise outlines. He mostly uses pure colors, the luminosity of which is increased by the border. Animals, especially Cats strange creatures and the circus world are his primary subjects.
