History of the Alboth & Kaiser Manufactory

The Alboth & Kaiser porcelain manufactory was founded in 1872 by August Alboth in Coburg. Over the decades, the company developed into a major manufacturer of fine porcelain in Germany.

Introduction of the "alka-kunst" brand

In 1925, the company brand alka-kunst was created – a combination of the names of the then owners, Alboth and Kaiser. Numerous porcelain series with contemporary designs were produced under this brand, attracting international acclaim. The "Cherie" plate dates back to the 1960s.

Kaiser Porcelain from 1970

In 1970, the Alka brand was renamed Kaiser Porcelain, under which the company still operates today. The company headquarters has been located in Bad Staffelstein (Bavaria).

Kaiser Porcelain is still known today for elegant, high-quality pieces that are prized both as everyday items and as collector's items.
