Painting by Belgian artist Serge Creuz, located Argèles (Po), 1947. 

Serge Creuz

Serge Creuz (1924 - 1996) studied at the Superior Institute of Decorative Arts in La Cambre, Brussel and began to engrave and illustrate books under the direction of Joris Minne. He became a member of the Young Belgian Painting in 1946.

Very early, he turned to the theater and created many sets, he worked for Belgian television and for the french filmmaker Yves Robert. He held a numerous exhibitions of paintings, drawings and cartoons and worked for magazines, notably, for the weekly magazine "Pourquoi Pas" for which he creates thousands of drawings in nearly thirty years.

In Brussels, he founded the "Maison de Bellone", a theater documentation and archiving center. One of the greatest High Schools in Brussels is named after Serge Creuz.
