Georg Jensen Silver, 1931

These six silver spoons from the Georg Jensen silversmiths' workshop are part of ART FLAGEY's selection of Danish silverware. The design for the Parallel cutlery, also known as Relief, was created by Gundlach-Pedersen in 1931. It was produced between 1933 and 1944. Today, it is a sought-after Art Deco collector's item.

About the manufacturer:

Georg Arthur Jensen (* 31 August 1866 - Raadvad/Copenhagen - † 2 October 1935) was a Danish silversmith and manufacturer of renowned silverware.

He founded the company Georg Jensen Sølvsmedie in Copenhagen in 1904 and achieved worldwide recognition. To this day, the name Georg Jensen stands for high-quality Danish design.

Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen (17 May 1886 – 4 October 1960), Danish architect and designer, worked for the Georg Jensen silversmiths from 1927 to 1931.
