Exlibris - Destruction of Ypres in World War I
This print, created by the Belgian Jules Darest in 1914, is intended to commemorate the destruction of Ypres in World War I. It shows the library lying in ruins. The author inscribed the exlibris with the words "Ici était ma Bibliothèque. Cet Ex-libris rappellera à mes amis les bonnes heures passées au milieu de mes chers livres". (Trans.
