Lorenz Christian Friedrich Hutschenreuther (1817 - 1886)
founded his porcelain factory in Selb in 1857 and a separate department for art porcelain in 1917. By the time the Hutschenreuther Art Department was closed due to the war in 1945, over 2000 designs by more than 75 artists had been collected.
