Clémence Hanappe (1869–1955)
Clémence Hanappe was a late 19th-century Belgian painter from La Hestre near Mariemont in the province of Hainaut.
Her artistic focus was on floral motifs, particularly roses, floral still lifes, and views of greenhouse landscapes.
At the beginning of the 20th century, she gained public recognition through her exhibitions at the Exposition générale des Beaux-Arts (Brussels 1907) and the Salon de Printemps (1909).
Her painting is characterized by a delicate, Impressionist-influenced style in which light, color, and atmosphere take center stage.
