Information about the manufacturer:
Bruckmann & Sons was founded in 1805 in Heilbronn by Georg Peter Bruckmann (1778-1850). After his death, his widow and sons Wolfgang Peter and Ernst Dietrich and, in consequence, his grandchildren continued the business. Under their leadership, it developed into one of the most successful silverware manufacturers at the end of the 19th century. After the damage in the Second World War and the reconstruction of the company this was sold in 1968 to the Gerofabrik NV. The production was relocated to Neckasulm in 1970. In 1973 it came to bankruptcy. The company brand was for silverware from an eagle with outstretched wings and legs.
