About the artist:

Maurice Blieck studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels as well as in Paris and London. As a founding member of the "Sillon" circle, he took part in the exhibitions of the group from 1896 onwards. He worked in Brussels and London. His works include paintings of landscapes, harbor scenes, villages, portraits and genre painting.
