Neo-impressionist and pointillist landscape painting by Belgian painter Alfons Blomme, "Maison au toit rouge", signed and dated 1926, framed.
Blomme studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where he came into contact with Art Nouveau and Neo-Impressionism. He remained attached to this style of art, although his contemporaries went to surrealism. He discovered the work of Emile Claus and developed his own pointillist technique.
