About the artist:

Kurt Peiser (1887 Antwerp - 1962 Uccle / Bruxelles) Painter, draftsman, with Polish-Jewish roots, was born in Antwerp in 1887 and studied at the Antwerp Art Academy. He found his inspiration preferably in the vicinity of the Antwerp harbor. Some of his works were created in the Jewish quarter of Amsterdam.
