Henri Duvieux (1855-1902)

Henri Duvieux was a French Orientalist painter known for his atmospheric views of cityscapes and oriental coastal landscapes in the Mediterranean. He made his debut at the 1880 Paris Salon with views of Venice, Constantinople, and seascapes in the tradition of Canaletto. His works combine architectural precision with atmospheric light and are typical examples of Orientalism in the late 19th century. Duvieux is considered a sought-after artist among collectors of historical cityscapes and Orientalist paintings of the period.
